I'm beyond honored to share that I'm a recipient of a 2013 Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Congrats to the other recipients as well!

Well, I just signed my contract to sail the arctic in June of 2013. My thanks to The Arctic Circle Foundation for selecting my application.

I got an email the other day notifying me that I was one of the new Emerging Writers Fellows at The Writer's Center in Bethesda, MD, home of great writing workshops and the fabulous literary journal Poet Lore. Many thanks to The Writer's Center and congrats to the other fellows!

I received an email today letting me know I received a Walter E. Dakin Fellowship to the Sewanee Writers' Conference this summer. One of my friends, Lisa Fay Coutley, received a Tennessee Williams Scholarship. I'm ready for poetry, swimming, and banjo playing.
